May 31, 2012

DADE CITY, Fla. — Today, the Florida Chamber of Commerce endorsed Wilton Simpson for State Senate in District 18. Simpson is a small business owner who knows what it takes to create jobs and keep a business running.

"Simpson has the strong pro-business principles we need in our elected officials," said Marian Johnson, Senior Vice President of Political Operations, Florida Chamber of Commerce. "We believe Wilton will support policies that foster job growth and create a more sustainable economy in Florida."

The Florida Chamber is the latest addition to an impressive group that has endorsed Simpson, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, Senate President Mike Haridopolos, Congressman Richard Nugent, Congressman Gus Bilirakis, former Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, and Sumter County Sheriff Bill Farmer. Simpson has also been endorsed by the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association.

"I am very thankful for the Florida Chamber's support and help," said candidate Wilton Simpson. "I plan to work with them in Tallahassee to make sure all Floridians have the best opportunity to succeed."
